This second storey extension really is an remarkable home amongst the trees. The owners are fortunate enough to live next to a leafy green park lined with grand old Moreton Bay Fig trees. So the aim with this design was to bring the ambience of the park into the home, creating a sense of sitting in your own personal tree-house.
The existing ground level home was renovated only a few years back, therefore didn’t require much work, other than opening up some walls and and building a spacious timber alfresco area at the rear. But the addition of an upstairs master bedroom, en suite, study and balcony have made this home something special. The colours and materials selected ensure the additions blend perfectly with the original home, resulting in a seamless second floor that looks like it has always been there.
